This is Part 8 of a 9 part series entitled:
“Practical Tips to Survive COVID Education Days at Home.”
If you are a parent who was intending to send your child to school full time but are thrust into educating at home either full time or part time, this is for you.
If you are a parent of a child with special challenges of any kind, this is for you.
If you are the parent who was fully intending to teach your child at home, this is for you.
In other words – if you are a parent, period. This is for you!
This podcast is the eighth in a series of 9 strategy tips. These 9 strategies are meant to help educating your children in these pandemic times, to be – not only doable — but also enjoyable.
This Podcast, the 8th in the series, is entitled, “Recruit Help.”
Raising a child who has challenges is an all-consuming job for parents. All of the extra tasks that come with advocating for them, getting them to appointments, and simply making it through the day at home with the unique care they need, can leave you little time to get the simplest and the bigger necessary projects done. Also, you may feel depleted a lot of the time trying to keep all of the plates spinning in the air and trying to juggle so much. You may sometimes feel isolated and alone, overwhelmed, and discouraged. Join us in this episode to get some practical tips on how to recruit help from others.
Remember also the tips in our previous topics in this series to: settle yourself, settle the children, learn to be more flexible, have empathy for your children, take time to laugh, show your children that you have compassion for them, lovingly guide them, and affirm.
Tune in next time as we discuss how to ask for help with the many tasks we have of running a household and raising children.
